Authorised(Level 1) Translator and Interpreter:

Along with my Mother Tongue, my English and Japanese language proficiency is also regarded as the Mother Tongue level (in Japanese Standards).

At present, I am working as a part-timer in NHK (Nihon Housou Kyokai)- Japan`s equivalent of UK`s BBC, as a translator and Radio Announcer. My news program goes on air at 1830 (Bangladesh Time) on Sundays and Mondays. This program of NHK World Radio Japan (http://www.nhk.or.jp/english/)can be heard from all over Bangladesh and India at Short Wave (SW) 25m Band 11,890 KHz.
It can also be heard from the Internet.
If you are interested, pls visit www.bangladeshtigers.com and find the link for Online News => NHK Bangla News on the left side. If you click this link in between 0015 to 1400 either on Monday or Tuesday(both Bangladesh Time), you should listen me reading the news.......

Other than NHK, I worked as an Interpreter/Foreigner Communicator for the BMW AG of Germany in the 37th Tokyo International Motor Show in 2003.

In July,2004, I did both Translation and Interpretation for a high-profile JICA(Japan International Co-operation Agency) Training program conducted for Bangladeshi Nursing Staffs, Family Planning and Healt Ministry Officials.

I am also working as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) of English in Meiji Elementary School, Tokyo. I look after the kids of grade 6.

While doing interpretation, I had many memorable experiences. But the one which I will never forget, is the interpretation for Prof. Abduallah Abu Sayeed in a Tokyo Seminar in April,2004. The formal speech was absolutely ok, but after that Sir started his Jokes and I really had very very hard time to interprete those in Japanese with the humor intact. The audience gave a big clap for me as well, but I know, I miserably failed.....

Colorful(!) career as a Debator

As a member of Comilla Cadet College Debate Team,I participated 8 times in National Television Debate.
In School level(1993-94),we became the National Runner-up defeating big names like Viquarunnisa Noon School and Sent Joseph School on our way to the final.
In national(senior) level,we got chance to participate in only 2 rounds before leaving the college and we succeeded in both including a keenly fought victory against NOTREDAME college.
After entering BUET(I had been there for only 1 term),I Paricipated for Titumir Hall in Inter Hall Debate Comp.(december,1997) and earned championship for the Hall.

In august 2000,I was honoured to be a student judge of a presentation contest in Fukuoka,Japan which also included NOBEL LAUREATE
Mr. Esaki Leo(well-known in the field of semiconductor/quntum mechanics for his theory on Tunnel Effect) in the Main Panel of Judges.
